Abstract
Há no Horto de Incêndio um poema visceralmente atual, “Sida”, em que o autor, Al Berto inventa uma corajosa expressão para o quase improferível desse Mal moderno. O resultado dessa invenção é uma surpreendente superação dos padrões de representação da doença física e da morte, enfim das afecções mais pungentes que a humanidade enfrenta na contemporaneidade. Como isso se dá e o que estaria na raiz desse processo? Tentarei aventar alguma hipótese convincente para responder a essas questões.
