Abstract
AbstractMexico | Vicente is the founder and CEO of Sustentur, a social enterprise focused on sustainable tourism that works to increase the competitiveness of companies and destinations while preserving natural resources, improving the quality of life in local communities and promoting wellness. Vicente has experience in launching and leading sustainable tourism projects; has coordinated projects for World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and international development agencies, in addition to government, private companies and rural communities. He is an international lecturer and advisor on sustainability and tourism issues. Vicente is also the founder of the Sustainable and Social Tourism Summit, the most important sustainable tourism event in Latin America, held annually in Mexico. He has participated twice in TEDx events as a speaker on travel and sustainable tourism topics. In 2020, the Global Shakers Initiative recognised Vicente as one of the 40 leaders in sustainable tourism in the world.
