Abstract
Part of the two-photon absorption spectrum of single crystals of Cs 2UO 2Cl 4, at 4.2K and in five polarisations, is discussed. The intensities cannot be interpreted in terms of the stationary states, but reflect vibronic interactions in the virtual intermediate state.
