Abstract
By a comprehensive study an bibliographical data and some own investigations, STROUHAL-numbers were determined behind flaps in flow channels. Effects caused by changing the flap angle of attack, the REYNOLDS - numbers and the blocking of the channel cross section had been considered. In an experimental wind tunnel and means of measurements at full-scale exciting forces as well as response of sheet-metal panels in the wake of flap systems were investigated. Finally, measures are described to suppress the exciting forces.
