Abstract
The infrared spectrum of matrix isolated MoF5 as well as the Raman spectra of the liquid and polycrystalline species have been observed. The use of double boiler Knudsen cells has facilitated a vibrational assignment for monomeric MoF5 based on a trigonal bipyramid (D3h) structure.
