Abstract

With the accelerated pace of city development and urban population increases, urban public transport is facing a severe challenge. In particular the rapid development of automobile industry and the extensive use of the car cause a traffic jam, make more serious pollution and also make great difficulty for people travel. In view of foreign advanced technology, combined with China's reality, the development of urban rail traffic is an important way to solve this problem. Urban light rail traffic has a lot of characteristics such as short construction period, low cost, fast and flexible installation. So, urban planning and construction departments think much of it. But the noise pollution of light rail traffic also caused widespread concern. In this article, we tested and analyzed the vibration characteristics of light rail bus by using noise and vibration measurement and analysis system. We concluded that the vibration of light rail bus has a great relationship with vibration of the motor and gear box installed on the bus. Traction motor vibration occurs mainly in the middle and low frequency range. The vibration acceleration level at the speed of 80 kilometers per hour is higher than the vibration acceleration level at the speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The vibration of gear box is higher than that of motor vibration. The control of the gear box vibration is crucial to reduce the noise and vibration of urban light rail traffic bus. The results of this study provide basis for design of vibration and noise reduction of the urban light rail bus.
