Abstract

In plants the major concerns of rotating machinery are reliability, safety, efficiency and performance. The vital role of monitoring, analysis and fault diagnosis is a significant for rotating machineries. For reliable diagnostics of rotating machinery faults an efficient and effective feature extraction techniques are required. There are various vibration feature extraction technique methods are proposed from past few decades for different types dynamic machines. For analyzing the healthy condition of machines vibration signal measurement place an important role. We can measure the vibration signals by introducing a system based on virtual instrument. The important components of vibration measuring system are accelerometer transducer, charge amplifier, data acquisition (DAQ) and personal computer. From National Instruments (NI), LABVIEW tool is introduced which is powerful graphical programming language & is used widely in various fields such as data measurement & control, simulation, analysis of the system. It is the product. Lab VIEW software is well established for its powerful functions and flexible operations, thus we can easily monitor and analyze the vibration signal. This paper will comment on future directions for research on vibration feature extraction for faults diagnosis of dynamic machinery.
