Abstract
The effect of such factors as design of friction bearings, operational misalignments of shaft system supports, and degraded stiffness of the support system on the vibration reliability of steam turbine support elements is analyzed. The analysis is carried out using the data obtained from investigations of full-scale friction bearings performed on test rigs, as well as from tests and measurements performed at operating power stations in Russia and abroad.
