Abstract

Recently, conveyance equipment which repeats the motion of starting, transfer, and interruption, for example transfer feeders and X-Y tables has become larger and faster for increased the productivity. As a consequence of these changes, the stiffness of the structure decreases, causing various problems such as residual vibration and deterioration in positioning accuracy. One countermeasure is to add a dynamic absorber. The problem when the dynamic absorber is applied to the conveyance equipment is that a sufficiently effective dynamic absorber cannot be located on the objective vibration system because of space restrictions. To solve this problem, in this paper, we attemped to develop a method wherein the dynamic absorber is located on the vibration transmission path from the objective vibration system to the vibration source, not on the objective vibration system. The validity of this method is shown in the simulation and in the results of application to a transfer feeder.
