Abstract
Abstract Due to the large number and heavy weight of equipment, as well as the high center of gravity in the cabin area of dredgers, the concentrated arrangement of equipment is prone to local vibration problems in the cabin area. Additionally, there are many devices that need to be placed under the deck in the cabin area, which imposes significant constraints on the placement of supports. Using the finite element method to analyze the vibration problem of a certain dredger, we studied the influence of different equipment arrangements and structural reinforcement methods on vibration. This allowed us to summarize the characteristics of vibration under different improvement methods, providing feasible solutions for improving the vibration problem in the cabin area of dredgers. After adjusting the equipment layout and reinforcing local structures, the vibration in the dredger’s cabin area ultimately meets the design requirements satisfactorily.
