Abstract

This paper presents the vibration of annular sectorial plates with two opposite radial edges simply supported using the spline strip method based on the Mindlin plate theory. To demonstrate the convergence and accuracy of the present method, several examples are solved, and the results are compared with those obtained by other numerical methods. Stable convergence and good accuracy are obtained using the high-order spline strip models. Accurate frequencies of annular sector Mindlin plates with different sector angles, radii ratios and boundary conditions along the circumferential edges are shown in tabular form.
