Abstract
Vibration isolators for looms can be classified into following two types, i. e., one is the isolator for a low-speed loom and the otheris the isolator for a high-speed loom. The vibration from low-speed loom is mainly impact vibration. Leaf springs are used for the isolator for low-speed loom. The leaf springs are effective to damp the impact vibration. The vibration from high-speed loom is both cyclic vibration of low frequency and impactvibration. Coil springs are used for high-speed looms. As the natural frequency of this type is very low, dynamic dampers are effectively used to control the mounting base swinging.
