Abstract

A vibration-generating device used for portable telephones, etc. The device has a rotor (110) and a stator (120) rotatably supporting the rotor, and generates vibration by rotating the rotor. The rotor has a bearing sleeve (160) that is a resin mold and rotatably attached to a fixed shaft (124) provided at the stator, a magnet (170), and a weight (180) eccentrically positioned relative to the bearing sleeve. The bearing sleeve and the magnet are integrally formed by material resin of the bearing sleeve. The stator has, in addition to the fixed shaft, a bottom plate (121), a cover plate (122), and a coil (140) positioned opposite the magnet. The rotor is rotated when electricity is passed through the coil, and the bearing sleeve is rotated, in contact with the bottom plate or the cover plate, by attracting force acting between the magnet and the bottom plate or the cover plate.
