Abstract
The UK Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 came into force on 6th July 20051, so implementing the European Council Directive 2002/44/EC on the minimum health and safety requirements for protection of workers from the effects of both hand arm and whole body vibration. In the UK, about 1.7 million workers are at risk form hand arm vibration and 20,000 drivers are exposed to high levels of whole body vibration.
