Abstract

In order to reduce the seismic response of the bidirectional eccentric structure, adopting isolation measures for vibration control of structures. This paper discusses the dynamic response of the structure under the condition of non-isolation measures and isolation measures. Proved by numerical calculation, isolation device contributes to the translational and torsional vibration control of the structure, the translational and torsional vibration damping effect of the maximum can reach 40.74% and 35.99% respectively. Thus, it is clear that the base isolation can significantly reduce the torsional response of the structure. Isolation device can be used as an effective control measure for the torsional vibration of eccentric structures based on the advantages of simple, economic and easy to implement.
