Abstract

This review deals with vibration characteristics of functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) beam. Several studies have been proposed considering macroscopic structures and micro/nano structures. The macroscopic structures are used size independent theories while the micro/nano structures are used size dependent theories. The details about these theories are published in the previous literature. So here, author don‘t exploring the description of these theories. Furthermore, the theory of piezoelectricity used in modeling of FGPM beams are discussed. The vibration analysis of FGPM beam actuated using longitudinal coupling coefficient and shear coupling coefficient is explored.
