Abstract

Introduction: Endoscopic drainage is the first line therapy for non-complicated pancreatic pseudocysts. The length and the ideal form of therapy are not established. Current therapies include simple drainage through a wall incision or placement of multiple plastic stents. We describe our experience with a removable self-expanding metal stent (Viabil, Conmed, MA). Patients and Methods: We used the Viabil stent as primary treatment in 8 patients with non-complicated symptomatic pancreatic pseudocyst.
