Abstract

Topiramate is a relatively modern anticonvulsant with a narrow field of approved uses and many other possible uses, according to preliminary studies and other trials currently being carried out. Possibly serious side effects are a main obstacle to topiramate use. A small sample of clinical data suggests that topiramate may be effective at much lower doses than usually considered necessary, in the case of anger and aggressive behavior control in depressive patients.
