Abstract

A term female baby, with uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery, showed lethargy and seizures on day 1 of life. Brain magnetic resonance imaging on day 2 of life demonstrated diffused cortical swelling (Supplementary Fig. 1A–C). Patient developed uncontrolled multifocal seizures on day 3 of life. In addition, electroencephalogram showed frequent spike and sharp waves in the right side of the rolandic region (Supplementary Fig. 1D). Moreover, metabolic investigation including urine sulfite was normal.
