Abstract
As crises vertiginosas podem ser de origem periférica ou central. Vertigem como sintoma primário de infarto cerebelar tem sido pouco relatado na literatura médica. Com o advento de métodos modernos de neuroimagem, como a tomografia computadorizada e a ressonância magnética, o infarto cerebelar tem sido diagnosticado mais precocemente e tratado adequadamente. Os autores apresentam dois casos de infarto cerebelar cujo sintoma principal foi vertigem, discutindo especialmente sua propedêutica diagnóstica.
