Abstract
The paper aims to provide a methodological hypothesis for a diachronic analysis about the presence of military sites in Veneto Region. The goal is to understand the current state of the Ministry of Defense’s properties in 1989, when began the progressive phenomenon of decommissioning, abandonment and under-utilization. Through the analysis of two case studies, various themes in the frame of the decommissioning process are retraced and caractherized by legislative and institutional inertia.
