Abstract

Verneuil technique was successfully used for HTSC growth. Dense polycrystalline boules with diameter up to 15 mm were obtained in the system Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O. Thin single crystal plates of 4334 compound were grown on the boule surface. High T c-superconductors can be obtained by both direct synthesis and crystallization from different precursors. Material obtained showed T c ( ϱ=0) 75–82 K depending on growth conditions (temperature, ratio V(H 2) V(O 2), initial composition) and post- growth heat treatment.
