Abstract

The paper presents a verification of the preventive renewal strategies obtained with the decision-random models modified to take into consideration the diverse nature of maintenance activities. The analysis of the obtained strategies was performed by simulation, considering changes to the input values. The costs and numbers of maintenance activities were summarized depending on the individual values, and the total costs of the strategies obtained from the model were compared with strategies assuming renewal every shorter and longer period. This allowed conclusions to be made about the economic viability of using the presented algorithm.
