Abstract

Abstract: the article discusses the methodological foundations of the forensic examination of the psychological reliability of testimony. Various points of view on the possibility of conducting such examinations are analyzed. Based on the analysis of scientific literature and a few judicial practices, proposals have been formulated on those issues that are currently debatable and controversial. The article gives the concept of examination of the psychological reliability of testimony during interrogation, characterizes the object and subject of the study, identifies the subjects conducting this type of examination, its tasks. Considerable attention is paid to the preparation of expert research: psychological analysis of criminal case materials, initial viewing of the presented video, typical questions are formulated that are solved by expert psychologists when analyzing the video with the testimony of the interrogated person. The author gives an analysis of psychodiagnostic research methods with a list of signs and techniques for exposing lies. Based on an example of the application of an expert study of the reliability of testimony conducted during the investigation of a criminal case against Furgal S.I., the study is evaluated and conclusions are formulated aimed at improving this type of examination.
