Abstract

The fast reactor system analysis code FASYS is developed by CIAE for transient accident analysis in CEFR. By referring to the application scope of FASYS, the basic requirements of FASYS and PIRT in CEFR are established. A comprehensive verification and validation for the accuracy of FASYS is performed, which consist of bottom-up assessment, top-down assessment and uncertainty assessment. The bottom-up assessment applies the static analysis and dynamic analysis to verify the basic function of FASYS. The separate effect tests and integral effect tests are employed in the top-down assessment to validate the availability to simulate model and system. The calculated results confirms that the basic function and model in FASYS are reasonable and credible. The uncertainty assessment results show that FASYS can still calculate IET under the reasonable uncertainty of input parameters, indicating that the FASYS can simulate and analyze the transient accident processes of sodium-cooled fast reactor.
