Abstract
The habitat type 3130 (Oligotrophic to mesotrophic still waters with vegetation of the Littorelletea uniflorae and/or of the Isoeto-Nanojuncetea) of annex I of the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora is characterized by plants which are part f the pond ground flora. The dry summers of 2018 and 2019 offered a chance to record the pond ground flora of the Celle district. In the Celle district there are 30 plant species which characterize the habitat type 3130. The most common species are Elatine triandra, Eleocharis acicularis and Peplis portula. Cyperus fuscus shows a center of distribution near the village of Hofer. The highest number of species was found at the Entenfang near Boye, followed by the Meisendorfer Teiche. While most of the species are found in different regions of Lower Saxony Elatine triandra is mainly distributed at the Sudheide and the neighboring valley of the river Aller. The Celle district has a special responsibility to protect this species but also to protect the plant associations of the Isoeto-Nanojuncetea.
