Abstract
In the introduction of this study the author presents the most important personalities of the history the Czech Trinitarian Theology, who had written before Josef Pospišil started. The author explains the reasons of this study and presents the basic hermeneutical points of view of his analysis. Then he introduces the life and Josef Pospišil’s work, who was very important Czech Christian thinker of this period 1845–1926. Author aimed to two Pospišil’s texts which deal with the Trinitarian Theology. The work of Pospišil is characterized by methodological discipline, knowledge the co-temporary literature and very good language level. At the same time it is obvious that his thinking suffers from the same deficiencies which were typical for Dogmatic Theology of his era, but in Pospišil’s work there are some elements which are actual up to these days.

Summary
Tento vynikající český filosof a teolog se narodil dne 7. května 1845 v Oslavičce u Velkého Meziříčí a zemřel dne 18. prosince 1926 v Brně. Všeobecná spasitelská vůle Boží a „filosofická“ trinitologie české univerzity v Praze, kde se od roku 1882 přednášela filosofie v naší mateřštině.[18] Bylo tudíž žádoucí, aby se také křesťanská filosofie na českých teologických učilištích tomuto národnímu trendu postupně přizpůsobovala. Že podle tereziánské reformy se předpokládala výuku v mateřském jazyce nejen pro pastorální teologii, ale také pro katechetiku, přičemž i po roce 1848 zůstala základním vyučovacím jazykem na teologické fakultě v Praze latina – srov. Pospíšil v této studii zaujímá velmi pozitivní a ve své době jistě také progresivní stanoviska ohledně univerzální spasitelské vůle Boží, a proto si jeho příspěvek zasluhuje i dnes nejen připomenutí, ale také to, abychom s názory velkého českého filosofa a teologa vedli dialog. Uvedená tematika navíc souvisí s problematikou obrazu Boha, tedy jeho vlastností, a tak se do jisté míry dotýká předmětu našeho zájmu
