Abstract

The paper analyses ventilation system design considerations with respect to biological nanoparticle emissions for medical drilling applications into teeth and bones. The study evaluates several characteristics of a commercial laminar flow ventilation system to determine the effects of medical worker exposure in the breathing zone with and without the ventilation system.
