Abstract

A Veneziano model for ππ scattering is used to investigate the contribution from higher resonances to the current-algebra sum rules. The slowly convergent Furlan-Rossetti sum rule for isospin two in the crossed channel is shown only to be satisfied within the model if each family of parent plus daughters separately satisfies the sum rule.
