Abstract
The paper presents the research on social roots of New European concept of subject. The authors found the basic reason of subject concept change in economical practice of Venetian republic. It was the image of Venetian merchant which not only became the catalyzer of feudal order, but determined the connotations of subsequent New European philosophy of subject.
