Abstract
The article critically analyzes the information about the Vendian summarized in the Legend of the Ural series of sheets of Gosgeolkarta-1000/3 and explanatory notes to its sheets N-40 – Ufa and O-40 – Perm. It is concluded that the authors of these materials failed to carry out a scientific generalization and interpretation of all previously obtained geological, geophysical, geochemical and other materials and, on this basis, create a general model of the Vendian stage of development of the territory of the Southern and Middle Urals at the end of the Late Precambrian.
