Abstract
In this article, we adopt a mixed upwinding procedure and the arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) description to the velocity/pressure ( v /p) mixed finite element formulation with high-order mixed elements. With this approach, we are able to accommodate the requirements for both the inf–sup condition and the upwinding technique in one self-adaptive finite element analysis. Some numerical examples are used to confirm the reliability of the formulation.
