Abstract

In this paper a new velocity model method for pre-stack depth migration which integrates some different approaches such as the ray migration, pre-stack migration and manual iteration were used in order to get a high accuracy velocity model for pre-stack depth migration, has been developed. It not only can be applied to complex velocity variations but also can be applied to preserve high accuracy in deep strata. The examples shows that our method is effective, stable and adaptable.
