Abstract
Muy conocido en botánica, el lysenkoísmo también actuó en biología animal. Esta faceta menos manifiesta fue exhibida ante millones de espectadores en la Unión Soviética y otros países del bloque del Este a través de la película Velikaya sila, 1950, de Friedrich Ermler. La sociohistoria cinematográfica de Marc Ferro permite analizar la película como transmisora de las preocupaciones y autolegitimaciones del régimen, así como de las ideas de charlatanería sobre la ciencia creadas por Lysenko. Al comienzo de la Guerra Fría, un tema aparentemente insípido como la biología animal se convirtió en el centro de la lucha cultural entre los imperios colonialistas occidentales y el imperio soviético.
