Abstract
Identifying and classifying an enemy vehicle in military defense system is a sometimes-challenging task for an army. So, this paper proposes an automated system to detect a vehicle from the camera and classify it into the right category of tanks and trucks. This paper focuses on the classification of vehicles using HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradients) and SVM (Support Vector Machine) with higher accuracy. So, this proposed system is optimized in a way to gain maximum accuracy possible. This system focuses on HOG and SVM for classification having higher accuracy. The parameters of HOG and SVM are fine-tuned which results into higher accuracy rate. The algorithms are compared with traditional HOG and SVM approach. The accuracy of proposed approach is higher in comparison with traditional approaches.
