Abstract
Bolivian Rainbow Chili is one of the ornamental chili varieties which is unique in the form of its colorful fruit color. The vegetative growth of ornamental chilies requires additional nutrients and the role of microorganisms to obtain optimal growth. This study aims to determine the optimal growth of rainbow chilies using the application of PGPR biological fertilizer, a combination of PGPR biological fertilizer and NPK synthetic fertilizer, as well as a combination of PGPR biological fertilizer and compost organic fertilizer. This research was conducted with a completely randomized design (CRD). The data obtained were then analyzed by ANOVA and continued with the LSD test and Duncan’s test at the 5% test stage. The results showed that the combination treatment of PGPR and compost or PGPR and NPK provided optimal vegetative growth compared to single PGPR treatment.

Summary
Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Sains dan Matematika Universitas Diponegoro pada bulan Juni 2020 sampai bulan Agustus 2020. Sedangkan bahan yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini adalah benih cabai Pelangi (Bolivian Rainbow) Seroja IPB, formulasi PGPR komersial berbahan aktif Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Trichoderma harzanium, Trichoderma sp., dan Trichoderma viride, pupuk NPK 16-1616, pupuk kompos, tanah hitam, dan air. Selanjutnya benih ditanam ke dalam media sedalam 1.5 cm lalu ditutup dengan tanah yang halus. Persemaian ditutup dengan menggunakan mulsa sampai usia semai 21 HST (Hari Setelah Tanam). Pemberian NPK untuk perlakuan P3 diberikan pada hari ke-14 HST. Pemberian PGPR untuk perlakuan P1, P2, dan P3 diberikan pada hari ke-28 HST. Pada hari ke-25 HST tanaman mulai diperkenalkan dengan sinar matahari. Pemeliharaan tanaman dilakukan dengan melakukan penyiraman secara rutin sebanyak 2 (dua) kali sehari pada pagi dan sore hari. Pengukuran parameter dilakukan pada saat tanaman berusia 28 HST (hari setelah tanam) dan 60 HST.
