Abstract
A carcass of fifty day old female Large White Yorkshire piglet which had the history of poor weight gain and died suddenly was presented. On necropsy, irregular growth was noticed in the valvular endocardium of the heart. Cytological examination of cardiac vegetations revealed numerous Grams positive Cocci arranged in bunches. Histopathological examination revealed septic thrombus which was attached with the basal valvular endocardium along with the fibrous tissue proliferation and diagnosed as vegetative endocarditis.
