Abstract

The present study assessed the species composition of the plant community in the secondary Pinussylvestris L. plantations, reconstructed from natural Betula platyphylla Sukacz. stands in the western Khentii mountainsof Northern Mongolia. The predominance of plant species from forest and forest-meadow ecological groups in speciescomposition, which are representatives of light coniferous mountain forests, was observed both in secondary birch forestsand in reconstructed pine plantations.
