Abstract

AbstractVector fields within triangular domains in two‐dimensional space and tetrahedral domains in three‐dimensional space can be conveniently represented by expansion functions that are linear in the spatial variables and have either zero divergence or zero curl. These expansion functions are developed. Numerical solutions for the resonant frequencies of two‐dimensional cavities are presented to illustrate the use of vector functions.
