Abstract
In this paper vector control of linear induction motors (LIMs) in primary flux oriented reference frame is proposed taking into account the end effect in both the machine model and control system. A flux estimation method is also proposed to correct flux orientation error caused by end effect. Extensive motor performance evaluation under the proposed control system proves its superiority over a conventional vector control.
