Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of an indirect vector control for an induction machine used in electric vehicle. Vector control has high efficiency: it provides a quick and robust response in case of speed or torque variations. An indirect vector control was implemented by using Simulink/MATLAB and the parameters of an induction machine. A close loop control was used to regulate $i_{qs}$ current, where the reference value is obtained based on torque. For ${i}_{ds}$ the rated current value of the machine is used, in an open loop control. The experimental results prove the performance of the implemented indirect vector control block of an induction machine.
