Abstract
This is one of the series of monographs published by the French Ophthalmological Society. The senior author is the former chairman of the department at Lyons, France, and a well-known, highly respected, and knowledgeable ophthalmologist. The junior author is connected with the Faculty of Medicine in Paris. The book gives an excellent survey on vascular disturbances of the retinal circulation and is aimed at the neophyte ophthalmologist. Numerous black-and-white and colored illustrations enhance the value of the book. Of special interest are the various schematic drawings depicting the vascular diseases. The bibliography is adequate and the book can be recommended to any young ophthalmologist or resident who can read French, though there are English summaries and English legends for all illustrations.
