Abstract
vascoda is a new portal for scholarly information resources that went online at the IFLA conference in Berlin in August 2003. Its development is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the German Research Foundation. This article looks at vascoda-the idea behind it, the overall product and its components, and the vision for its future.
