Abstract

Varus deformity of the foot in association with tarsal coalition is uncommon. This report describes 3 patients with varus and equinovarus deformities associated with tarsal coalition. The first patient had a spastic varus foot in association with an isolated naviculo-cuneiform coalition. The second had a congenital equinovarus deformity in association with a massive talocalcaneal coalition and other ipsilateral lower limb anomalies, and the third patient had equinovarus deformities as part of Fuhrmann type of tarsal and carpal coalition (a variant of the Nievergelt syndrome).
