Abstract

Background: Patients with brainstem and thalamic infarction show various ophthalmological findings, such as MLF syndrome, WEBINO syndrome, and ocular lateropulsion. However, in daily practice, we also observe obscure ophthalmological findings in patients with brainstem and thalamic infarction. The underlying mechanism and the responsible pathway remain to be elucidated. In addition, these brainstem ophthalmological findings are easy to overlook because most findings are transient.
