Abstract

Variations in the structure of fullerene soots when kept in atmosphere are studied by the wide-angle X-ray method. The influence of these variations on the extraction ability of fullerenes and the tribological characteristics of the composites based on fluoroplastic-4 with addition of fullerene soots is discussed. Additions of fullerene soots to fluoroplastic-4 do not deteriorate their antifriction and antiwear characteristics.
