Abstract

The conidial DNA content of Penicillium viridicatum was examined using flow cytometry. Comparisons made between distinct cell lines derived from single conidial isolates showed reproducible differences in DNA content between 2 morphologically identifiable variants (red and white), These observations probably result from a stable aneuploid state in one of these variants.
