Abstract
The target of this study is to investigate the variation in absorption of Imersol Aqua® in Anatolian black pine [Pinus nigra Arnd. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe] wood depending on the tree aspects (east, west, south, north). The north direction was determined on the stem bark of black pine while the tree is standing before cutting. The other aspects were marked a mark on the cross- section of experimental log basing on the north. For each aspect, the sample specimens prepared from the sapwood of black pine in the dimension of 2 x 5 x 10 cm were taken and soaked in Immersol Aqua® for ten minutes. The results of absorption obtained from experiments were analyzed using SPSS statistical analysis program. In conclusion, the absorption of Immersol Aqua® decreased from east to west and from south to north on the black pine wood. The aspects affected on the absorption in the wood.
