Abstract

In this investigation we used data obtained in Sao Jose dos Campos (23.2 ° S, 45.9 ° W) station located in the southern crest of the equatorial anomaly ionosferica through digital Ionosonde CADI (Canada Advanced Digital Ionosonde), at different times of solar cycle 23. This paper analyzes the behavior in the region of the ionospheric F layer, low latitude in the Brazilian sector. Using the data of maximum frequency at the peak of the F layer (foF2) during periods of high solar activity, solar activity and average low solar activity, we can see how the ionosphere in the region of the F layer behaved during the solar cycle variations. Emission data solar extreme-ultraviolet, were obtained by the SOHO satellite equipped with the Solar Extreme-Ultraviolet Monitor (SEM). We compared the ray emissions in the EUV band - 26-34 nm with a maximum frequency of F layer peak observed in Sao Jose dos Campos, indicating a decrease in foF2 and-ray emission in the band 26-34 nm with EUV solar activity that is 26-24 nm EUV does not show seasonal variations observed in foF2.
