Abstract
The cutter head drive hydraulic system of the 1.8 m earth pressure balance (EPB) test shield machine was designed,and its working principle and control method were presented.The hydraulic system adopted a variable speed pump control technology.The 1.8 m test shield machine tunneling process was analyzed by using the statistical pattern classification method.The feature space of the digging earth status was built by the field penetration index (FPI) and torque penetration index (TPI).Then an expert control method was proposed based on the earth layer recognition and the power efficiency evaluation.The AMESim simulation model of the hydraulic system was constructed.The efficiency of the hydraulic system and the speed control performance by open loop and closed loop control were analyzed.Results show that the open loop control performance is stable,but the speed of the cutter head has bigger swing.
